About Sgt.Shield
Sgt.Shield is a peer-driven mental health and accountability platform built specifically for veterans, active-duty service members, reservists, and their families. Our mission is to provide a structured, military-inspired environment where individuals can check in daily, track their emotional well-being, and stay connected with a supportive community of fellow warriors.
The platform uses a familiar rank progression system modeled after the United States Army enlisted structure. Members begin at Private (PVT) and advance through the ranks — from PV2 and PFC all the way to Sergeant Major (SGM) — by maintaining consistent daily check-ins. This gamified approach encourages accountability and rewards dedication, helping users build healthy habits over time. A demotion policy ensures that members stay engaged: seven consecutive days of inactivity results in a rank reduction, reinforcing the importance of showing up every day.
Key features include the Rally Point daily check-in dashboard, multiple chat channels such as the Smoke Pit, General Chat, and Campfire voice channel, as well as restricted areas like the NCO Mess and Officers Board for senior-ranked members. Emergency alert capabilities provide immediate support pathways for anyone reporting a critical mental health status. After Action Reports (AARs) allow NCOs and above to document incidents and share lessons learned across the unit.
Sgt.Shield is built by a team of veterans and technologists who understand the unique challenges faced by those who have served. We believe that no one should fight their battles alone, and that the camaraderie forged in service can be a powerful tool for healing and resilience in civilian life.
